About

An accountant who kept learning

My study was in Accountancy. My work is in FP&A. Somewhere in between, I fell for data.

I work in financial planning and analysis, crunching data to help turn numbers into decisions. Studying Accountancy gave me an instinct I still rely on: every figure should tie back to something real.

I’m an Excel enthusiast first. As the questions got bigger, I added SQL, Python and Power BI, and more recently Claude agents. They’ve changed what one analyst can build, including apps I wouldn’t have attempted before.

This site is my working notebook. I share the tips and tricks worth passing on, what I’m working on now, and the apps I’ve vibe coded.

Toolkit

  • ExcelModels, reconciliations and quick answers. The tool I reach for first.
  • Power QueryTurning messy sheets into journal uploads and reports that refresh in one step.
  • SQLGoing straight to the source instead of waiting for an export.
  • PythonCleaning, joining and automating what has outgrown a workbook.
  • Power BIVisualizing data and building dashboards.
  • Claude agentsHandling repetitive work and building small apps, with every output checked.
